Guidelines of the Venango County Homemakers Advisory Committee


The Purpose

The purpose of the committee is to oversee the homemakers' groups county programs, to maintain the scholarship fund and to award scholarships as funds permit

At present the county programs include: Spring Tea, one day trip, quilt show, demonstrations at the Venango County fair, fall chicken BBQ and Holiday Tea. (Subject to change).


Meetings:
The regular bimonthly meeting of the committee will be held according to the following schedule:

Last Monday, January 1:00 PM
First Monday, April 1:00 PM
First Monday, June 1:00 PM
First Monday, August 1:00 PM
First Monday, October 12:00 Noon, with group leaders as guests
First Monday, December 1:00 PM


Membership
Members are elected to 3 year terms with no restrictions on term limits. Reorganization is held at the first meeting of a new year and officers are elected annually.


Officers:
The responsibility of each officer is as follows:

President - The president shall preside at all meetings of the committee, appoint sub-committees if needed for special events and shall have general supervision of the work of the committee.

Vice-president - The vice-president shall perform the duties of the president in president's absence. In the event of the resignation or removal from office of the president the vice-president shall assume the duties until the next election. The vice-president will be the official representative on the Venango County Extension Advisory Board, providing information about Homemakers to the Extension Board and reporting back to the Homemakers' Advisory Board.

Secretary/treasurer - The secretary/treasurer shall keep a record of all committee meetings and maintain the addresses and information of each member for the roll call. Treasurer shall receive all money belonging to the committee and report such at each meeting.
